WebAug 5, 2013 · Drill 3 holes in the steel. The outer 2 align with the holes in the black part. Then put your r/r so that one hole aligns with one of the holes in the steel. Then mark and drill a hole in the steel where the 2nd r/r hole is. Bolt the middle hole and then mount using the 2 outer holes to the lower triple. It's a bit fiddly but not too hard. WebMay 1, 2014 · The rectifier is not so much the issue, where it is mounted is the problem. Too much heat from the headers and radiator destroy it very quickly. Since it was relocated on the K8 model you see very few threads on this forum about the issue. The K6/7 forum is full of them. Very poor postioning by Suzuki on this model. I just bought a 2007 GSXR 600 with 20,000 miles on it and the rectifier went out on me a couple days ago. WebSep 12, 2024 · Taking the cover off to visually inspect the stator was a waste of time. It would have been easily checked with a volt/ohmmeter by just checking at the plug to the R/R. Make sure you get a fresh gasket on assembly, sealer will not work. R/R fail much more frequently then stators. That is likely your problem.

Upon searching the internet, there is a guy on ebay who makes a simple bracket to move it to the outside of the bike. However, it was noted to be a pretty big issue on that model of bike.
