Edit: Mississippi, NE Portland, inner SE (under 52nd-ish) are all perfectly safe. I wouldn’t venture down parts of MLK at night, but Boise/Eliot are fine. WitrynaThe Canopy in the Pearl is nice; easy walking spot. It is where a (young, female) family member typically stays when she is in Portland for work. The downtown Hilton is a bland business hotel, but fine. I don't know the Nob Hill one, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't also OK. The one in Lloyd I would avoid.
