WebSep 13, 2012 · According to my pedi, all the other vitamins in poly-vi-sol, with the exception of vitamin D, just get peed out. He said there is no need for them. So, once we were done the iron we switched to D-vi-sol which is only vitamin D and doesn't taste awful. Check with your pedi, but I bet it is the iron that your LO needs, preemies tend to be anemic. WebApr 2, 2012 · All of the something-vi-sol's are known to give upset tummies. They are super sugary and full of artificial coloring and flavoring. There's always discussions of this on the breastfeeding board. The research on iron supplementation is mixed, so I'm not comfortable adding additional iron to a LOs diet unless you know they're anemic.
